Shielding game. ⚽️🛡️ This game might help kids to learn the principles of shielding the ball or keeping the ball away from the defender. Game: All the players have the ball except one (or two). Player without ball trying to take the ball from other players while players are trying to protect their ball. ⚽️ Encourage players with the ball to keep their bodies between ball and defender. 🥳👍⚽️

Animal Shape Drill 🐻🐛🦀 Movements are one of the best tools for development of motor skills and strength in the beginning of the young players development. Kids really enjoy this drill because also engages their imagination! 🐻🦀🐛

Lions and Antelopes. 🦁🦌 Excellent game for development of speed, balance, spatial awareness, and ball skills if you wish to progress. ⚽️ You have one or more taggers (lions) and you have runners (antipopes). Antelopes are safe if they place one foot on a ball (We can progress to some Ball Skills). But they have only 4 seconds on a ball and they need to run to a different ball. 👏⚽️ Kids love this activity! Give it try 👏👏👏

Octopus Jump 🐙⚽️ The goal of the warm-up in the beginning of the practice, not only prepare joints and muscles to the work, but, gives children mental focus as well. This exercise helps activate muscles before the main part of the practice begins. You can easily make this prop with a long stick and a pool noodle. 🐙

Fun Dribbling Drill 🔥⚽️ We don’t use cones often at our practices but it is still a good way to give opportunity for the child to control the ball and change direction. When you start with cones start with a very simple setup and with little cones and progress with a more difficult setup. Distance between cones, and setup will influence the development of skills. You need to know what you are developing. Eliminate waiting time and add a competitive side to any drill to make sure that kids are not bored in lines and know why they are doing this. 👏💪

1v1 game on 4 goals. 🥅🥅🥅🥅 This game promote decision making, change of direction, and basic technical skills required. 🏃‍♂️⚽️ Whoever gets the ball first need to turn and score in one of 2 goals at the starting position. If second person manage to get the ball away from the first player he will need to score in one of the further goals. 👏👍 This is a fun activity that kids LOVE!🔥🔥🔥

Dribbling is the most important technical skill in the beginning of the players development. 🫡👏⚽️ Make sure that running with the ball and change of direction develops in a fun and interesting way. 🏃‍♂️ In this video kids run in a circle and they need to go through all the goals to complete a race. Technical Development Game 🔥 Incorporating games into your practices gives kids the freedom of play and it’s really important. 🥳 The coach can create different conditions to develop different technical skills. Speed work is very important for any age and any kids. 🔥 However at the early age they need to do most of speed and agility work through games. ⚽️👏 Giving kid opportunity to run at the top speed without the ball, in a fun and welcoming environment might be the best method for increasing this important quality in a young player. ⚽️👏🔥

Strength development is the best to do in the beginning of the practice. ⚽️ Activation of key muscle groups helps to use muscles more effectively during the practice. 💪 Progression of strength in this age happens mostly through better motor unit activation and coordination. And the main focus is to see skill technique progression! 👏👏👏
