You know they say grief is not linear, and it doesn't follow a predictable timeline and this is so true. I have struggled with the death of my mother and watching her last breaths still shows up in moments when it is almost too hard to process.
And as part of my growth, I've been learning ways to work through grief and understanding end-of-life. Instead of avoiding it as I have to this point, I am now turning towards it and opening the discussion, especially as I witness so many people in my life assume the role of caregiver or fumble with what to do for loved ones in their time of need.
So I create a workshop called 'Death and Dying for Herbalists'. Its 2 hours, covers a LOT of the questions I myself had about the dying process but had no one to ask and also gives compassion and guidance to those on that hard and lonely path to the other side.
It'll help me too. I think anytime we can talk together about the things that are hard, we feel better on the other side. Hope to see some of you in this workshop, and looking forward to sharing the things I have learned, both in nursing and in my own life.

If you want to take it on site we will be in COLORADO (Paonia) in May at Lisa Ganora's beautiful school (Elderberry's) teaching both WFA and HFA certification.
For those of you who want your WFR certification, this is the first step.
You can take the Advanced Wilderness First Aid certification online after you pass this and then come to gorgeous Taos NM in the mountains for a 3-day, Hands-On, WFR final step this summer.
Remember, nobody else teaches this information. You get not only fully vetted wilderness first aid and first responder curriculum and certification but also get hands-on herbal first aid from someone who has actually used it in the field for over 30 years.
Experience, not conjecture, is critical, especially when using herbs for injury and illness in the field or at home.
