You know they say grief is not linear, and it doesn't follow a predictable timeline and this is so true. I have struggled with the death of my mother and watching her last breaths still shows up in moments when it is almost too hard to process.
And as part of my growth, I've been learning ways to work through grief and understanding end-of-life. Instead of avoiding it as I have to this point, I am now turning towards it and opening the discussion, especially as I witness so many people in my life assume the role of caregiver or fumble with what to do for loved ones in their time of need.
So I create a workshop called 'Death and Dying for Herbalists'. Its 2 hours, covers a LOT of the questions I myself had about the dying process but had no one to ask and also gives compassion and guidance to those on that hard and lonely path to the other side.

It'll help me too. I think anytime we can talk together about the things that are hard, we feel better on the other side. Hope to see some of you in this workshop, and looking forward to sharing the things I have learned, both in nursing and in my own life.

You can take the Advanced Wilderness First Aid certification online after you pass this and then come to gorgeous Taos NM in the mountains for a 3-day, Hands-On, WFR final step this summer.
Remember, nobody else teaches this information. You get not only fully vetted wilderness first aid and first responder curriculum and certification but also get hands-on herbal first aid from someone who has actually used it in the field for over 30 years.

I know a lot of people don't like TiKTok, and I can't say I disagree with a lot of the reasons for that.
However, in the last several days that I've been posting videos, I have to say that as a creator of information and content it's a pretty cool way to be able to interact with people and give short 3 minute lectures on any number of herbal topics, which I really love doing.
Anyway here's a short answer to a question about berberine and insulin resistance, which was in response to another short video video I did about berberine in the first place.

I will try to produce regular content that is informative and occasionally I will share some of those videos up here as well.

It seems like the aspect herbalists like the least about making medicine is the paperwork side of things.
In other words, thinking about GMP compliance.

However, once you understand the process though, it will make you a much better medicine-maker.

This knowledge helps you to refine your processes, and means you can ready for any accountability to the people you make medicine for, as well as accountability to the regulators (FDA) if that happens to you.

Suchil has been teaching this course since 2015, and has found techniques that really help herbalists to organize their documentation.
We send out every template with exactly what you will need to make your own, and we also host live sessions to cover any and all questions for those who want to run a business, set up a storefront, or just ensure they are GMP compliant.

We are one of the few herbs schools out there that teach this course, and we used to actually teach it for other schools as well before we decided to only teach it through our own school.
In fact, any other school teaching it has very likely copied what we started, haha, but we have been evolving it every year.

Thia is a FANTASTIC course and takes all of the overwhelming (and admittedly boring for most folks) detail and makes it, dare I say, enjoyable! 😊
