We will be fishing under the dock lights at night with light tackle. Be prepared for possible wading, dock, and boat fishing. All fishing activities will be on a weather-permitting basis. Past catches have included limits of speckled trout, sheepshead, and redfish!

This weekend marked Grant's final youth hunt with the Texas Youth Hunting Program as he officially ages out. He wrapped up his time in the program with an incredible hunt at the Jobe Ranch in West Texas where he harvested 4 aoudad!
Grants dad shared this with us: “TYHP has been such a great experience for him and our family. It’s given Grant the opportunity to learn about hunting, wildlife conservation, and responsibility in the outdoors, and we’re very grateful for everything the program does for kids.”
What makes this even more special for TYHP is that Grant's guide on the hunt was once a TYHP youth hunter himself. Watching young hunters grow, learn, and eventually come back to give their time as mentors is exactly what TYHP is all about.

It's tough to beat calling in a mature tom on a string. And that opportunity will be here soon!
Texas spring turkey season kicks off with the south zone youth weekend March 7-8 prior to the March 14 south opener while north zone youth weekend is March 21-22, ahead of the March 28 north opener.
Texas Parks and Wildlife Wild Turkey Program leaders predict a plethora of two and three-year-old gobblers to keep hunters busy this spring. In addition to a valid hunting license, an Upland Game Bird Stamp Endorsement is required to turkey hunt in Texas and harvest reporting is mandatory in all counties with an open season.
