Aren’t the simple ideas always the best? 🍋🍊 Elodie loved this open-ended sensory setup and was playing for ages! So simple but so much fun. It’s also a great one for very little ones as you could make it taste safe by using clean utensils etc! Also is anyone else LOVING this second wave of summer! Just in time for going back to school/work! Bringing back play-based centers in early childhood would greatly lessen these developmental challenges. Parents also need to provide more hands-on learning opportunities and greatly limit screens.

Last minute toddler crafts….

Teacher-led vs. child-led: The 🍎 printing activity that I chose to provide to Caroline lasted less than one minute. The free painting activity that she chose has lasted over 20 minutes and she’s still very invested. Children need choice and autonomy!

I love pairing books with natural materials so children can retell or create new stories.
