On today’s installment of “who the hell does she think she is?”…
The fastest way to get me to do something you don’t want me to do or to succeed at is to tell me I can’t do it.

They like to suggest that this is part of the PDA profile (pathological demand avoidance).
Allow me to pontificate that this is instead a rational response to individuals and systems aimed at keeping you small, manageable and in line.

I’ve been paying very close attention to the erasure of women, of people of color, of individuals with disabilities, those in the neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ community…essentially anyone perceived as “other”.
And I notice the collective “they” like to tell these demographics what to do, who they are allowed to be, how much space they’re allowed to take up…
Our very existence is not political—or at least it shouldn’t have to be.

We are living in a time where protecting our autonomy, our right to pursue our dreams, our movement within the world around us is viewed as a revolutionary act of defiance.
This is not fear-mongering.
It’s a fact.
And in this climate, guarding our mental health, standing firm in and learning who we are and what are needs are, is more important than it’s ever been.

I’m Intuitive Life Coach K. Day and I’m opening up session space in my roster for those who are having a hard time right now.

Life and work have been increasingly harder for most of us lately.
There is a sharp psychic wound we carry while we’re expected to proceed as though it’s “business as usual”.

It’s not.

Casual indifference is not the healthy way to maneuver life during dark times.
Neither is absorbing the full weight of the atrocities taking place the world over.
The only solace to be found is in gently portioning your time between family, community, solitude when overwhelm hits, and creativity / joy cultivation.
It’s survival that allows us to make it through this intact.

Every individual is on their own journey, and suffering is proportionate to where they find themselves in the midst of this heaviness.
Remember your privilege before judging how others are handling the times.
And shift to holding space rather than freely doling out advice where it has not been requested.

This is not a perfect model for dealing with existence right now.
Rather, it’s my own notes on how to best navigate daily life and not be an as***le at the end of the day.
Let’s call it what it is.
It’s a dumpster fire.
We can either stand and watch it burn, pour on the gasoline, or help to put out the fires we can, where we can.

*Oh! And hey…I’m Intuitive Life Coach K. Day and I’m opening up session space in my roster for those who are having a hard time right now.

Looking forward without acknowledging what is behind one’s self is folly.
History is doomed to repeat itself for those who value forward motion while erasing the uncomfortable truth that has passed before.

In Jungian psychology, it is only in sitting within the discomfort, to learn it’s lessons, that we can then carry what we have learned forward into the present “now”, which is all there really is.
And what we do in the now shapes what will come.
“Know thyself” does not happen through self erasure or the hiding of factual events—it comes from embracing THE WHOLE and understanding that WE ARE NOT AN ACCIDENT.

Nothing about me is accidental.
Nothing about you is accidental.
Doing life and living life ON PURPOSE is how we walk in our purpose.
Alchemy isn’t just something we do—we ARE Alchemy.
We are part of the equation.

All this to say, know what has come before you, remember what you put behind you, learn and move from that space of true gnosis (“knowing”—to divinely and fully not just know, but to accept what you now know).
I promise your life will begin to unfold exponentially right in front of you in ways you never imagined—or just as you imagined, but better.

I made the news in the National Law Review—for my contribution as Director of Media & Strategic Partnerships, in detailing an internal strategy for Cafe86SA nonprofit to make mental health resources and community resources for those struggling with alcohol and addiction in the workplace more affordable.

“We’re excited to share the official press release announcing Intuitive Life Coach Kat E. V. Day as Director of Media & Strategic Partnerships for Cafe86SA.

A notation on 2025 :

Last year, I had several resets.
I learned that working harder doesn’t always mean success is imminent.
And one can work smarter all day long—but when the economy is tapped, and people don’t have expendable income flowing in, those of us in service-based industries are going to feel that.

Is that our cue to give up on our dreams?
How many pivots are we expected to have in us?
What do we do when we’re barely keeping our head above water?

Learning that privilege does in fact play a part in full time creative entrepreneurship was a necessary step in my growth.
It’s a stark truth that makes most people uncomfortable to look at.
Ultimately, every individual’s business journey is their own, everything is relative, and even without comparison coming into play, it’s all dependent upon our available resources.

So why not BECOME a resource?
What inherent skills and talents do I possess that I am able to lend to people who could benefit from them?
Sometimes it’s not the career path that’s the issue—sometimes it boils down to re-evaluating our specific offerings and tweaking them or overhauling them in a way that better serves the needs of our clients.

This is just a free-flow of notes from my findings.
I know I’ve got a long road ahead as I continue to pave my own way.
But I’m fairly confident there are some useful questions and points in here that can be helpful to others who take self reflection as seriously as I do.

In essence, grief, through the Jungian psychology lens, is a sacred initiation into deeper consciousness.

When a parent dies, the psyche is reshaped.
What once lived outside of us begins to live within us.
Through mourning, we are asked to carry forward not only their memory but their essence—transformed into wisdom, compassion and self-knowledge.

As Jung said, “The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”
And sometimes, it is loss that opens that door.

*In this current post series, I’m taking a deep dive through the scope of Jungian psychology, neuroscience and trauma-informed awareness to help understand death, navigate the grieving process, and provide tools to cope when grief is interrupted by outside influences.

If you’re struggling in your journey, I’m available for a free consultation. Just DM me.
