Hutson Nannies is seeking a Mother's helper for a soon to be mom of 3! (PT in Alamo Heights)

Start: Jan 6, 2026

Children: 4yrs, 2yrs and baby due 5/1/26

Compensation: $25-28/hr DOE, guaranteed hours, PTO

Schedule: Mon-Fri 3-8pm and two 5hr weekends shifts per month afternoon/evening. Guaranteed 27.5hrs/wk.

Description:
-Mom is SAHM & Dad works 24hr shifts 10-12 shifts per month, including some weekends and will know which weekends 3-4 months in advance.
-Possibly more hours avail in summer and on school holidays.
-Long term commitment, minimum 1 year.
-Need someone super competent with experience caring for an infant. Must be able to handle multiple kids and can give mom break from newborn.
-All HN positions require Nannies are able to get CPR certified, pass a background check, provide a minimum of three childcare references and have a minimum of one year paid childcare experience .

Childcare duties: meet mom at home after pick up, snack, play time, start dinner, help mom with juggling three, bath time, get ready for bed, accompany on outings
Household duties: tidy up living room daily, family laundry, load/unload dishwasher, meals and school lunches for children, tidy up kids' rooms, noticing when somethings needs to be done

Job Overview
A private, but warm and loving family is seeking an exceptional, experienced nanny/mother’s helper to provide loving care for their two children. The family is active and outdoorsy, and the children thrive on imagination and creativity. This family truly honors emotions and wants someone aligned with that mindset. (Think Big Little Feelings and Dr. Becky) The family is willing to provide books and courses to help nanny build up knowledge in this area.
The mother is a stay at home mom and the father works out of the home and travels often. The ideal nanny will be a great listener, intuitive, creative, and ready to jump in with this dynamic family.

Children
• 3 year old daughter, learning Spanish and homeschooled, super smart, precocious, independent, and fun loving
• 3 month old smiley baby boy who loves sleeping, breastmilk and being cuddled

Childcare Duties
• Provide dedicated, attentive care for children.
• Assist mom on appointments and outings. Suggest fun activities.
• Supervise and engage children in various activities, including outdoor exploration, crafts, and imaginative play.
• Promote the children’s independence, curiosity, and gross motor development.
• Assist with bath and bedtime routines and foster positive sibling relationships.

Household Duties
• Light housekeeping (mostly related to the children), such as tidying up the kitchen, washing dishes and bottles, organizing toys, and children’s laundry.
• Assist with meal preparation for children.
• Keep all child related supplies stocked and run occasional errands.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for the children. Work with another nanny, housekeeper, chef and tutors.
• Assist mom in preparing for travel or moving to a new home.

Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of full-time nanny experience with at least 3 verifiable references.
• Must speak English; fluency in Spanish HIGHLY preferred.
• Prior teaching or homeschool experience is a plus.
• High School diploma required.
• Up to date on routine vaccinations and willing to renew annual ones (covid & flu)
• Able to pass a background check.
• Strong understanding of child development
• Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with parents, other staff in home, and educators.
• Pediatric CPR certified.
• Must be proactive, independent, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred, but not required.
• Swimming proficiency preferred.
• Comfortable with a friendly family dog.
• Willing and able to travel with family.

Schedule
• Start ASAP or as late as February. Looking for the right person!
• Monday to Friday 8:30/9AM-4:30/5PM
• Occasional nights, weekends, and travel with the family mostly during months of May-September including spending summer in Los Angeles

Compensation & Benefits
• Competitive pay based on experience ($30-35 per hour and OT over 40hrs).
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
• Healthcare stipend negotiable.
• 10 days PTO, paid holidays.
• W-2 employment status.

-Need safe vehicle and valid DL, but may drive family car on duty
-Seeking nanny with good communication skills and comfortable setting boundaries and instituting family discipline with kids.
-Must be able to pass background ck, get CPR certification, have experience with these ages, and have minimum of 3 good paid childcare references.

Childcare duties:
Pick up from school and take to activities/appointments, prep needed items from activities, homework help, play outside and go on outings to zoo etc, read, do crafts, make meals and snacks for children
Household management:
sweep, load/unload dishwasher, wipe counters, pick up playroom and kids' rooms, wash all family laundry, pick up groceries and put away, run errands such as returns and dry cleaning, walk dog

-Must have 3+ yrs experience with newborns and ideally multiples and understanding of developmental stages & appropriate activities.
-Safety is key! Knowledge of safe feeding and sleeping techniques.
-Mom works from home and wears headphones during meetings. -Family needs a nanny they can really trust, so mom can comfortably work in front room.
-Must be comfortable with indoor cats and dogs (2 of each)
-No screen time for children. Nanny can't be addicted to phone.
*Job duties:* sterilize, prep, feed bottles, wash babies' laundry and dishes, tidy up babies' areas, administer medicine, diapers, baths, accompany mom to doctors' appointments, continual interaction with babies (reading, singing, talking,) maintain schedule, tummy time, let dogs in/out.
