Such a great movie! Our motto around here is to always presume competence: the idea that everyone can learn, think, and understand, and should be given the opportunity to do so without proof.
If you have any AAC users or families in your life, this is a great movie to see what their world looks like on the daily.
Today is the day! I couldn’t be prouder of the incredible cast and crew who brought Out of My Mind to life on the big screen. Their talent and dedication made Melody’s story shine in the most beautiful way. Here’s to her journey continuing to inspire and touch hearts everywhere!

: In 2021 A&M-San Antonio’s College of Education and Human Development launched the Transition University for Career Advancement and Successful Adulthood (TU CASA). This program helps bridge an equity gap for individuals with intellectual disabilities by providing a pathway for them to engage in a higher education experience or get the support they need to navigate a degree program successfully.
