: In 2021 A&M-San Antonio’s College of Education and Human Development launched the Transition University for Career Advancement and Successful Adulthood (TU CASA). This program helps bridge an equity gap for individuals with intellectual disabilities by providing a pathway for them to engage in a higher education experience or get the support they need to navigate a degree program successfully.

Catlaina is an autistic adult who shares what it was like as a child to have sensory processing differences, difficulty processing speech sounds and mainly communicating with echolalia.
