Congratulations to the newest cohort of TX FAME Alamo Chapter Advanced Manufacturing Technicians!

38 outstanding students officially committed to a future in advanced manufacturing during the 2026 TX FAME Signing Day, taking the first step toward earning an Associate Degree of Applied Science while gaining paid, hands-on experience with one of the region's leading manufacturing employers. Students in the TX FAME program attend college two days a week and work three days a week with their sponsoring employer, building the skills needed for high-demand, high-wage careers in advanced manufacturing.

🎓👏 Let’s give a round of applause to our TX FAME Class of 2026! 👏🎓

Last night, we celebrated a talented group of graduates who have put in the hard work, dedication, and determination to complete the Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program—gaining the skills and real-world hands-on experience needed to launch successful careers in the manufacturing industry alongside leading employers in the region.

TX FAME is a two-year apprenticeship program combining paid work experience with education through The Alamo Colleges District, allowing participants to earn an Advanced Manufacturing degree while working for a manufacturing employer.

Another Successful TX FAME Open House! 🛠️
The production line to a high-wage career is officially in motion following this past Wednesday’s TX FAME Advanced Manufacturing Technology Spring Open House at Palo Alto College. We were proud to host 112 students from 6 area schools, giving them an inside look at the AMT labs to see firsthand how the "earn-and-learn" model paves the way to a high-wage career.

Thank you to our employer partners—Toyota Texas, JCB, H-E-B, and TTTX—for their continued dedication to providing students with world-class, paid work experience and mentoring the next generation of technical talent.

235 high school students from 13 schools had the chance to hear firsthand experiences of the program from current and former students while touring the AMT lab. 🏢 🔧
