NISD Steubing Elementary

Three of our classes - Ms. Salazar, Ms. Schafer, and Coach C’s class - were lucky enough to participate in Texas A&M University–San Antonio’s Passport to College program this year!

Once a month, students explored what college is all about - learning about different universities across Texas, discovering campus life, and beginning to imagine their own futures beyond high school.

The program culminated in a special graduation ceremony on the Texas A&M–San Antonio campus, where students proudly walked the stage, wore their caps, turned their tassels, and even enjoyed lunch just like college students. It was a day they won’t forget!

A huge thank you to Texas A&M University–San Antonio and Community Health Partners for providing this incredible experience and helping inspire the next generation of college graduates.

Our Kinder through 5th grade students have been celebrating their hard work and success on ST Math this week with a well-earned Jiji Glow Jam!

ST Math is a program that builds and strengthens grade-level math skills, and any student who reached 100% of their grade-level puzzles earned an invitation to this exciting event. We are so proud of their dedication, perseverance, and growth!

A big thank you to our amazing math specialist, Mrs. Martinez, for organizing and bringing this celebration to life. What a fun way to recognize our students’ achievements! 🐧✨

Senior Walk 2026 💙💚

Today our Stallions lined the halls to celebrate the Class of 2026 as they made their walk back through Steubing. It was a full-circle moment - today’s students cheering on the Stallions who once stood in their same shoes.

We spotted so many familiar faces in those caps and gowns - former students, neighbors, older brothers, uncles, and even a teacher’s son - all coming back to where it started. 💫

Congratulations to our graduates, including Violet Ostrowski, recipient of the Barbara Clary Memorial Scholarship from the Steubing PTA. We are so proud of your hard work, dedication, and all you’ve accomplished. Your Steubing family is cheering you on every step of the way.

Girls on the Run is So Much Fun!

We’re so proud of our Girls on the Run team for finishing their end of season 5k yesterday! These girls pushed, supported, and cheered each other on all season while learning lessons about friendship, self confidence and community.

An extra shoutout to our very own Stella who placed third place in her age division!
