What if spiritual freedom is not what you think it is?
Spiritual freedom is not a behavior destination you reach one day when you stop that addictive behavior or when you are finally spiritual enough for God to be pleased with you.
Truth: Freedom is a Person. His name is Jesus Christ.
Freedom is not a behavioral goal, a clean track record, or a religious checklist. Freedom is a Person, and His name is Jesus.
May the truth of your freedom in Christ come alive as you trust Him.
Freedom is a Person. His name is Jesus! Rest in Him today.

I used to think my relationship with God was like a performance review. 📝
If I had a "good" week—read my Bible, was patient with my family, didn't lose my temper—I felt like I could stand tall. But if I failed? I’d put on the mask. I’d pretend I was okay while feeling like a complete fraud on the inside.
I was living on a "treadmill of performance," and I was exhausted.
In my latest episode of A Cup of Freedom, we talk about why that mask is so heavy and how GRACE is the only thing that can finally take it off. It's not about being a "fixed-up sinner"; it's about being a brand-new creation.

Are you living on an Identity roller coaster based on your performance?
Your identity doesn't change based on your "Good Days" or "Bad Days." 📉📈
When you’re in the Performance Trap, your identity is tied to your behavior.
Good Day? You feel proud, superior, and "right with God."
Bad Day? You feel worthless, hidden, and "disqualified."
The Freedom Truth is that In Christ, your identity is Fixed. You aren't a "failure" when you stumble, and you aren't a "superstar" when you succeed. You are a son or daughter. A child doesn’t lose their last name because they tripped and fell.
Your identity is defined by the Father’s love, not your latest track record.
You can let go of checking your "score" and start resting in your reality as His much loved sons and daughters. You are loved, period. 🙌

Let go of measuring your worth based on your performance and trust God's view of your worth as His much loved sons and daughters

Are you exhausted from trying to keep up with a version of Christianity that feels like a heavy weight? 🎒
Performance-based living says: 'If I do better, God will love me more.'
Freedom in Christ says: 'Because God loves me, I can live free'.
One leads to a 'grit' that eventually runs out. The other leads to a 'grace' that never ends. Jesus didn’t come to give you a longer to-do list; He came to give you new life. His Life. 🕊️
You can let go of trying to impress a Father who is already deeply in love with you. Trade that heavy yoke for His light one today. You are freer than you know.
Comment 'FREE' if you are choosing Grace today!

I used to think overcoming addiction was about being 'better.' I was trying to perform my way out of a pit.
But grace isn’t a reward for good performance; it’s a gift to be received. ✨
If you belong to Christ, your name is not 'addict,' 'failure,' or 'lost cause.' Your identity is beloved, forgiven, and redeemed.
Today, let go of fixing your eyes on your performance and fix your eyes on Jesus. ⚓️. Anchor to His Grace, because He is enough.
2 Corinthians 12:9 - 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'

You aren't fighting for freedom; you are learning to live from it.
This is for the person who feels like they are on a spiritual treadmill—constantly running but never feeling "free enough."
Most of us live our lives feeling like we’re on trial. We wake up feeling like we have to "win" God’s approval, "earn" our peace, or finally "defeat" our struggles before we can truly rest.
But here is the life-changing shift: In Christ, the victory is already yours.
You aren't a soldier trying to win a war; you are a child of the King standing on ground that has already been conquered. When you fight for victory, you’re driven by fear of failure. When you live from victory, you’re driven by the power of love.
How does your day change when you realize:
🕊️ You don’t have to "get free"—He already set you free.
🕊️ You don’t have to "become worthy"—He already called you worthy.
🕊️ You don’t have to "reach the finish line"—He already said, "It is finished."
Today, stop the striving. Take the seat He has prepared for you at His table. Your rest isn't a reward for your hard work; it's the foundation for your whole life.
Type "REST" in the comments if you’re ready to stop fighting for what you already have.
