Some goodbyes are harder than others, and this is definitely one of them. Over the past three years, SSgt Jackson has become much more than an instructor at Rogers Airman Leadership School, he became family. Together, we’ve celebrated victories, worked through challenges, laughed until our stomachs hurt, and shared a common passion for developing the next generation of Air Force leaders.

ALS instructors wear far more hats than most people realize. Instructor. Mentor. Supervisor. Leader. First Sergeant. Counselor. Coach. Sometimes even the person who simply listens when an Airman needs someone in their corner. Through every class that walked our halls, SSgt Jackson poured his time, heart, and energy into helping shape better Airmen, better NCOs, and better people.

While we’re excited for this incredible opportunity as he heads to his new assignment overseas, it’s never easy saying goodbye to someone who’s made such a lasting impact, not only on our students, but on each of us.

From your Rogers ALS family, thank you for your dedication, your friendship, and the legacy you’ve left behind. The students whose lives you’ve touched and the teammates you’ve stood beside are better because of you.

Please join us in wishing SSgt Jackson safe travels, continued success, and nothing but the very best on this next adventure. Once Rogers family, always Rogers family. 💙✈️

On 29 July, during the Airman Leadership School Class 26-6 graduation ceremony, we had the privilege of honoring the memory of former ALS student SrA Cimmeron D. Kee (Class 25-5) following his recent passing.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Class 26-6 for choosing to leave this meaningful legacy by dedicating a memorial in honor of SrA Kee. Their thoughtful gesture ensures that his memory will remain a part of our schoolhouse and continue to inspire future Airmen.

We also want to sincerely thank the Kee family for visiting the schoolhouse to see where Cimmeron learned and developed as a leader. It was an honor to welcome them and share the place where his memorial now hangs as a lasting tribute to his life, service, and legacy.

SrA Kee will always be remembered as a member of the Rogers Airman Leadership School family. His legacy will continue to live on within these halls and in the Airmen who follow in his footsteps.

It's been a little quiet on our page these past couple of weeks, but don't let that fool you. Our Airmen have been busy.

From giving back to the San Antonio Food Bank to diving into lessons on the Enlisted Warfighter, trust, behavior analysis, and leadership, Class 26-6 has continued to grow both personally and professionally.

As they close out their final full week of Airman Leadership School, they also carried on one of Rogers ALS's proudest traditions: the memorial ruck. This year's ruck honored the 18 service members who lost their lives in the Middle East, while also paying tribute to SSgt Rogers, whose legacy of leadership and service continues to inspire every class that walks these halls.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our leaders who came out to support our Airmen, rain or shine. Your presence means more than you know.

Another week of growth is in the books for Class 26-6 at Rogers ALS!

This week, our students strengthened one of the most important leadership skills, effective communication. From sharpening their presentation techniques to building confidence in public speaking, they learned how clear, professional communication helps inspire others and accomplish the mission.

Outside the classroom, students participated in PT in honor of SSgt Rogers and practiced Drill and Ceremonies as they prepare for their Retreat Ceremony during their final week of ALS, where they'll celebrate this milestone alongside their families and unit leadership.

Can you spot your Airman? 👀🇺🇸

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember every service member who gave their life in service to our nation. Behind each name is a family, a story, a sacrifice, and a legacy that deserves to be carried forward with gratitude, humility, and purpose.

For Rogers Airman Leadership School, we also hold a personal connection through our schoolhouse namesake, SSgt Cierra Rogers. As we share her photo and story, we do so as one reflection of the many lives and sacrifices we remember today. May we honor them all through service, leadership, and taking care of one another. 🇺🇸

Today, Class 26-5 performed retreat on their final full day at the Rogers Airman Leadership School schoolhouse. Retreat is a long-standing military tradition that marks the end of the official duty day while honoring the nation, the flag, and those who served before us.

Following a full day of giving honest feedback to their peers and reflecting on the leadership and growth developed throughout the past 24 days of education at the schoolhouse, the class took a moment to reflect before graduation tomorrow. These Airmen will soon return to their units ready to lead and support those around them as frontline supervisors.

Thank you to Randolph Top Three, the class sponsoring organization, for providing snacks and refreshments, and to all the families, friends, and leadership who came out to show their support for Class 26-5.
