The new Educator Misconduct Dashboard allows the public to view reports submitted to TEA, investigations, disciplinary actions, and placements on the stateās do-not-hire registry.
Is your child's IEP working and are they showing growth and progression while getting the services and accommodations they need?
I've been on all sides of the IEP table: Mom, Special Education Teacher, ARD facilitator and now as your ADVOCATE.

Families, remember: a 504 Plan should support your childās access to learning. If your child is still failing or struggling, you have the right to request a meeting, review what is not working, and ask for changes.
Sometimes the plan needs stronger accommodations. Sometimes the team needs to look deeper and consider whether additional testing or an IEP evaluation is needed. The goal is not blame ā the goal is making sure your child has the right support to be successful.

Principal Janelle Hardin, Ashley Merino (Kindergarten Teacher), and Amy Leonard (ARD Facilitator) make up an outstanding IEP Team! You can truly feel the sense of family and teamwork in the way they support one another and care for their students. Their collaboration, compassion, and commitment to doing what is best for kiddos does not go unnoticed. Itās always refreshing to work alongside a team so invested in making sure students and families feel heard, supported, and valued. Well done, ladies!

I also truly enjoyed working with this entire IEP team. Principal Delgado, Kelly Barrett, ARD Facilitator, Special Education TeacherāECSE Elizabeth Benoit, and everyone involved showed such care and investment in supporting this kiddo.
Iām worried I may be missing someone, but please know the whole teamās dedication was noticed and appreciated. Well done. āļø

Headmaster Kelly Hunt,
I wanted to say thank you for all you do for your families and students. During our meetings, it is clear that you have such strong knowledge of the kiddos you represent. You give families the gift of time by truly listening to their concerns, and your follow-through on the ground helps ensure students are being served according to their IEPs.
It has been a pleasure to work with you, and I truly appreciate your dedication.

This is Shandra Medina, ARD Facilitator and former Teacher of the Year. When I walk into an IEP meeting and see Shandra involved, I know the families and kiddos I represent will be heard, seen, and respected. She brings professionalism, heart, and true collaboration to the table. It is always a pleasure to work with her. ā¤ļøāļø
