From October 13-17, 2025, we're bringing the tastes of Texas straight to your lunch tray. Hop in the passenger seat and join us in the lunch line for National School Lunch Week.

Today's menu includes Bean & Cheese Tamales from a local Texas company, Rodriguez Family Foods.

The lettuce used in the South Texas Salad comes from a hydroponic farm in Belton, Texas called TrueHarvest.

Last night, Child Nutrition's Employee of the Year, Meghan Estrada, was recognized at the Commitment to Excellence Awards Ceremony. Meghan always has a smile on her face at Wilder, she greets the students with enthusiasm and excitement. We recognize her for her accomplishments and are proud to call her our Employee of the Year.

Another staff member in the district was also recognized that is close to Child Nutrition. Lenore Sassman, Assistant Principal from Paschal Elementary School. Lenore is the daughter of Roe Neal, who worked in Child Nutrition for 20+ years.

Thank you to both employee and your Commitment to Excellence at SCUCISD.

Today is National School Lunch Hero Day! We celebrated all of our staff by providing each of them with a "Nacho Average Lunch Team" shirt. The campus also celebrated their School Lunch Heroes by giving them cards, drawings, and a big warm thank you.

Thank you to all of our School Lunch Heroes for everything you do! We appreciate all that you do for the students here in SCUC ISD!
