Pastor Ed I thank you standing in the gap. For being the leader we needed. A Holy Boldness. A Holy Fire 🔥

Forgiving our enemies, being a Christian doesn’t mean we stand ideally by when evil is taking place. We are called to stand and fight for the faith. To fight our flesh daily so we can become more of a light in this world. To lead by example and live in truth. There’s no better time like now…

16:23.4 for a 5k! That wasn’t my time or my sisters 😅, but I did crack the top 40 and that’s a win for me!
The Half Marathon is a whole different beast, and I know I’ve got work to do before I’m race-ready. But 13.1… I’m coming for you.
Thank you, Lord, for a body that endures. Every mile is a blessing!
I’m resting, I promise. I even took to days off from working out and went for a walk instead!

My wife jokes that it’s my Type A personality and love for acts of service that have me planning date nights with menus and itineraries. And maybe there’s some truth to that.
But honestly, this goes deeper than just being organized.
Over the past few months, I’ve been asking God to grow me. To make me a better leader, a better husband, and a better shepherd for my family. I haven’t always gotten it right, but I’m learning. I’m learning that leadership in the home starts with humility. That love often looks like service. And that being the head doesn’t mean being above, it means being beneath, lifting up.
So yes, our date night started with a Costco run — because when you have kids, running errands in peace feels like a getaway.
Then we had coffee and cheesecake, followed by a lemon garlic shrimp pasta that instantly made it onto the weekly menu.
We finished the night with a solid 1030 bedtime 😬
Today we started the day with steak tacos for breakfast (because why not?), then Bible study at the coffee shop together, followed by church!
It was simple, beautiful, and meaningful.
Not because of the itinerary, but because of the intention.
Because I want her to feel seen, loved, and honored.
My wife has been one of the greatest blessings in my life, and I want to live in a way that shows her just how much I treasure her not just with words, but with action.
Jesus served. The greatest leaders do. That’s the kind of husband I’m learning to be. The kind of man I’m learning to be.
And in the meantime… I’ll keep making coffee, cooking meals that make her smile, and yes, planning dates with itineraries and all.
I’m not a perfect man, never will be. But I will tell you this, Jesus is changing me for the better.
