Since June I have been leading a monthly online meditation group for Diamond Light alumni and my clients and students on the second Sunday of each month via Zoom.
It’s been a beautiful time of meditation, spiritual connection and remembrance of the deepest truth of who we are.

JOB SUMMARY
Provide massage services to guests using props and/or products. Provide body treatments to guests using body scrubs, wraps, and/or hydrotherapy. Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy) before beginning service. Keep up to date with current techniques and modalities related to their field of
work. Es**rt guests to and from treatment rooms. Arrange workstation, treatment room, and/or drapes. Frequently check with guest to promote comfort, safety and security throughout service.
Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools. Maintain cleanliness of workstation and/or treatment
room throughout shift, dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.

Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day. We have a few older massage chairs to give away if anyone is interested. They are worn and have varying degrees of slight damage to the fabric but they work and can be covered with a sheet. Almonte Spa is currently seeking massage therapists to join our team. Almonte Spa is beautifully situated off the beaten path in Mill Valley. Exemplary customer service with an emphasis on retaining client relations is paramount.

As a massage therapist at Almonte Spa, you will be responsible for treating our clients through massage while maintaining a safe and relaxing experience. You should be good at perceiving our client’s wishes and needs through spoken language, body language and other cues and modifying their treatments accordingly. Additionally we provide Hot Tubs and Saunas, so non-sensitivity to chlorine or scents is essential. Massage therapists report to the Spa Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide 60, 75 and 90 minute massages to clients by appointment
Be able to perform 4-5 massages per shift
Evaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the body
Suggest future massage appointments and regime to clients
Listen to clients during appointments and adjust technique as they desire
Saturday and/or Sunday availability is a must

Skills and Qualifications:

Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Time management abilities and adherence to schedule
Follow strict safety protocols
Ability to provide Swedish and Deep Tissue massage (other modalities are a plus)
Demonstrated customer service skills
Good energy and positive vibes are key

I have been a hands-on deep tissue therapist of 40 years, with an office in San Rafael, specializing in pain relief, improved joint function, and mobility. Marinyoga.org.
