SPARK 2026 Career Exhibit recap ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿš€
We were honored to be invited to Concho Valley SPARK this week, and it was a huge success. ASU STEM Outreach and the Mobile STEM Lab welcomed over 800 student visits at our station, with nonstop curiosity and hands-on exploration all day. ๐ŸšŒโœจ

SHOUT OUT TO JAMES OBERMILLER, BRADEN GUTIERREZ, AND TONY GARCIA. YOU GUYS ALL AWESOME!!! ๐Ÿ™Œ

What is Concho Valley SPARK?
SPARK stands for Strengthening Professional Abilities and Real-World Knowledge. Itโ€™s an annual event designed to bridge the gap between education and the workforce by giving high school students interactive career exploration with employers and community partners across the 14 TEA career clusters.

What makes SPARK different from a job fair
A job fair is about hiring. SPARK is about inspiring. Organizations are not recruiting. They are showcasing real world tools, experiences, and possibilities so students can discover new interests and start imagining their future.

What we ran
โ€ข VR demos and immersive experiences ๐Ÿฅฝ
โ€ข iPads with the Inspirit app ๐Ÿ“ฑ
โ€ข a fast paced, high traffic environment where students could jump in, explore, and ask questions

Thank you to the SPARK organizers, partners, and every student who stopped by our space. We loved being part of an event that invests in Texasโ€™ future workforce and helps students make informed decisions about what comes next after high school. ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Inspirit activities on desktop stations
๐ŸŽฎ Touchscreen content that makes STEM feel like play (and learning)

Huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to explore, ask questions, and try something new. That curiosity is what STEM is all about. ๐Ÿ’ก

Lab Night recap time ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€โš™๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฌโœจ

We just got home from Engineers Week Lab Night and the vibes were unreal. So many smiles, so many โ€œwaitโ€ฆ thatโ€™s science?!โ€ moments, and so many hands actually doing the experiments instead of just watching. ๐Ÿงช๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ™Œ

Tonightโ€™s highlights:
๐Ÿงช Chemistry demos that had everyone crowding in
๐Ÿš€ COโ‚‚ rockets (always a fan favorite)
โšก Physics Phun with hands on โ€œtry it yourselfโ€ stations
๐Ÿชจ Geology rocks, minerals, and fossils that made people stop and stare
๐Ÿงฉ Math games that turned into friendly competition
๐Ÿค– โ€œHow Smart Is This AI?โ€ demos and lots of questions
๐Ÿ„๐ŸŒพ Agriculture booths that were way more interesting than people expected
๐Ÿพ Plus awesome community partners helping make the night feel big

Big thank you to the College of Science and Engineering departments, student organizations, volunteers, and every family and student who showed up with curiosity. Yโ€™all made it special. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ
