The Lambda Omicron Chapter of the Delta Zeta sorority was founded in April of 1975 at Angelo State University, making it the first sorority at ASU. Members enjoy sisterhood and social events, participating in philanthropic endeavors, being active members of the ASU and San Angelo communities, maintaining high academic standards, and creating lifelong friendships!

I’m melanie jones and i’m a junior bio major who is our academic chairmen! i chose dz because when i went through recruitment i had the best time talking and laughing with the girls during each of my recruitment rounds and i just knew i had found my home away from home! dz is a place where i can fully be myself and know that my sisters will always have my back😊!!! my decision to join delta zeta has not only shaped my college career by introducing me to my lifelong friends, but it has also been a place where i’ve learned and grown into many valuable skills that will help me in my career pathway as well!
