We’ve had a last-minute change to the Middle School Football schedule, which means we’ll now have a home game this Tuesday! 🎉

That also means the Panther Pride Concession Stand will be OPEN! 🐾💙🩶

Panther Nation and our amazing community supporters, we have a few important reminders as we get ready for the upcoming marching band season! 🎶🏈

👕 SHOW & SUPPORTER SHIRTS

Our red Show Shirts and gray Supporter Shirts are due Tuesday, September 2nd. We will be placing our final order on Wednesday, so we need to have an accurate final count.

If you have already ordered a shirt and have not yet paid, please get your payment in as soon as possible, unless you have already made prior arrangements with Kaylan Bales.

Our students came home with tickets last Tuesday. We know this was a quick turnaround, but these are traditionally one of our best fundraisers of the year, and every ticket makes a difference!

🐾💙 MORE THAN HALFTIME — PANTHER PRIDE TAKES CENTER STAGE! 🩶

We are SO proud to see the Northwood High School Panther Pride Marching Band featured in The Southwest Virginia Sun article, “More than halftime: Smyth County bands take center stage”! 🎶🥁

Our 28-member Panther Pride family has been working incredibly hard to bring our 2026 production, “Phobias,” to life. From weeks of rehearsals, learning music and drill, perfecting formations, and pushing themselves to be better every day — these students are proving that what happens on that field is so much more than a halftime show.

As the article says, “Weeks of work unfold in a matter of minutes.” And our students put their hearts into every one of those minutes. ❤️

We are incredibly proud of their talent, work ethic, dedication, and PANTHER PRIDE! 🐾

The Northwood Panther Pride Marching Band is having a Pork Butt Raffle, and for just $1, you could take home a delicious pork butt just in time for Labor Day weekend!

🎟️ Tickets: ONLY $1 EACH!
📅 Drawing: Tuesday, September 1
📍 Winner must pick up the pork butt at Northwood High School by 4 PM on Friday, September 4.

⚠️ Important: Northwood High School will be closed for Labor Day on Monday, September 7, and with an open week for football, we won’t be able to hold or distribute the prize after the September 4 pickup deadline.
