I love art, I love rocks, I love inclusiveness, and I love Salt Lake Community College.

Here I show how all those loves come together in a way that others will enjoy. ❤️

What goes in to turning a rock into an slccROX? First, I collected a rock. I usually take it from a specific building with the intention of returning it to that building. Then I take it home, give it a good cleaning, and then paint it! Once it's dry, it's time to spray it! This matte acrylic spray is awesome. This can take 30 minutes to 5 hours to dry - it all depends on the temperature outside, humidity, and the type of rock surface. Both sides get sprayed. After they're completely sprayed and dried, they're ready to be placed!! This process takes some time, but a lot of love is involved. I love SLCC and I love art. I hope you enjoy my rox.

New slccROX!! When was the last time you were in the Technology Building (TB)? You'll find the HelpDesk here, ESL classes, the Language Lab, Faculty Support, as well as technology classes and architecture! It's a lively place. Check it out sometime!

I was out at the SLCC Miller Campus today for the Scholarship Luncheon, and look what I spotted!! This is an slccROX, but I didn't place it. One of one wonderful colleagues that works at this campus did, so this was my first time finding it! Have you seen this one?

The Taylorsville Redwood Campus was so quiet during spring break. I talk walks around campus most days, and I saw this sweet little strawberry! It isn't one of mine, but I love it just the same. To the artist, great job! I love the finish on it as well as the cute message. ❤️

This slccROX was placed over a year ago next to the Lifetime Activities Center (LAC). It disappeared for a while, reappeared near the LAC, then disappeared again, and has just resurfaced in a new location by the LAC! I love seeing my rocks. Question, should I repaint this one? It's aged and faded, but has character. What do you think?

I needed to go to the library yesterday, so I also decided to walk around the whole building! Library cats and slccROX!! Winning!! Where was the last place you saw a campus cat? This black one was very curious about me, and I almost got close enough to pet it, until a noise scared it away. Next time, kitty! ❤️

Happy find today on the Plaza! I originally placed this rock in the Plaza (not here, but somewhere else) on April 1, 2025. A couple months later it disappeared. Imagine my joy at discovering it HERE!! I love seeing my slccROX on display. I hope you do too. Happy hunting!

Merry Christmas time!! I love this cute little rock. I can't claim ownership, but I was definitely happy to see it. I saw this while entering the south side of the Student Center on the Redwood Campus. Anyone else spot it? If you're the artist, message me! We should paint together! ❤️

Are you enjoying the cozy buildings on campus? Thank you, Heat Plant!! I can say that all year, but it's not truly appreciated until we start seeing snow in the mountains until the snow goes away. Stay warm y'all!!
