Wowza!!😍😍😍

Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton married and divorced twice. The pair were in love with one another until the end of their days but could not make their marriage work. Burton once compared their love to an “exciting volcano.”

Excerpts from Richard Burton’s secret diary.

“Elizabeth is an eternal one-night stand. She is my private and personal bought mistress. And lascivious with it. It is impossible to tell you what is consisted in the act of love. Well, I’ll tell you: E is a receiver, a perpetual returner of the ball!”

‘’I’m madly in love with her at the moment, as distinct from always loving her. I can bearly keep my hands off her and want to make love to her every minute.”

In November 1968, Burton wrote: “I have been inordinately lucky all my life but the greatest luck of all has been Elizabeth. She has turned me into a model man but not a p**g, she is a wildly exciting lover-mistress, she is shy and witty, she is nobody’s fool. She is a brilliant actress, she is beautiful beyond the dreams of po*******hy, she can be arrogant and wilful, she is clement and loving. She is Sunday’s child, she can tolerate my impossibilities and my drunkenness, she is an ache in the stomach when I am away from her and she loves me. She is the prospectus that can never be entirely catalogued, an almanac for poor Richard. And I shall love her forever.”

The free soul is rare, but you know it when you see it - basically because you feel good, very good, when you are near or with them.

“I exist as I am, that is enough,
If no other in the world be aware I sit content,
And if each and all be aware I sit content.
One world is aware, and by the far the largest to me, and that is myself,
And whether I come to my own today or in ten thousand or ten million years,
I can cheerfully take it now, or with equal cheerfulness, I can wait.”
Walt Whitman, from Song of Myself, 18892.
