I’m spending time creating today.

This has been so hard for me lately. I literally had to book a work space and book a friend to help keep me on track. Major mommy brain. But I’m doing it and I’m proud of myself.

My sister sent me this card and it sits in my office as a reminder to only do things that feel good. We’re so ingrained to just push past the pain and do hard things, but what if life was just easy and enjoyable? I believe it can be - it’s a mindset. Some days it’s easier for me to do than others, but life is so much more fun when it’s easy right?!
Especially during this crazy time of year, let’s just be good to ourselves and use our time for things we love doing. Xo 💜

Do you have a morning routine?

I’ve worked hard at creating small rituals each morning to start my day off right.
It’s not always right when I wake up and sometimes I don’t get to do everything I want but it usually includes:
- 5 minute gratitude journal
- 10 minutes of headspace meditation
- 5 minutes of reading daily affirmations or dream life statement
I keep it simple and it sets me up for an amazing day THAT IS INTENTIONAL.

I really feel it when I don’t practice these simple habits.
Having a toddler has really forced me to carve out the time for this and made me realize how important my time before she wakes is.

Need an energy reset in your home?

1. Open the windows and burn some sage to get rid of bad energy and negative spirits.
2. Follow it up by lighting some Palo Santo and inviting all of the positive energy into your home.
3. Set an intention of what you want for your home in that moment. How you want it to feel and what vibes you’re inviting! Enjoy!

When was the last time you cleaned out your utensil and silverware drawers?

I mean how many spoons and spatulas do you R E A L L Y need?!! I’m often shocked by how many cooking utensils people own - often passed down from parents or old wedding gifts, people feel guilty getting rid of these items…

But here’s the thing… you should even L O V E your cooking utensils and silverware. Again, LESS. IS. MORE! It’s all about living the life you dream of right now.

I laughed when I saw these hand towels because let’s be honest, I think I need them!!!

It’s hard to keep it this way, but having a nice clean backdrop for organizing your stuff is the way to go!!! My CA client loves white and when we designed this space, we kept it clean and simple with lots of storage and a beautiful bench to anchor it all.

My favorite part is the pull out laundry bins that make sorting soooo easy!

The first thing people say when they enter my home is usually, wow it’s so peaceful!

This is something I’ve worked at and always wanted. For me, having less stuff and more space is everything. I am very aware of what I bring into my home and now even having a child I am constantly editing so we only have things we use and love.

I know garages can feel overwhelming and like a dumping ground, so here’s my TOP 3 garage makeover TIPS:

1. Get everything you can off the floor… bike hooks are such a win! And hooks for tools and yard equipment, etc

2. Store things in labeled bins. I personally like a black or gray bin so I don’t have to see everything with a large label of what’s inside so no one is guessing.

3. Paint or seal garage floor… I’ve been saving up to do this at my home ( it’s about $2K) but I think it makes the biggest difference when you pull into a garage keeping it looking 👍👍
