Due to the beautiful snow that is rapidly falling outside as well as what the weather forecasters are predicting, our February luncheon, scheduled for this Tuesday, February 24th, has been cancelled.

If you are one of the members who have pre-paid for all four luncheons, and you want to have your $15 dollars refunded, please contact Stewart Soper by text (410-596-3620) or by email ([email protected]) by the end of this week and he will return it to you. If, on the other hand, you are OK with him transferring it to our scholarship program, you do not need to do anything.

MRSPA, did you know that the USPS made changes in December in the way they process mail, and for you it could mean important documents may not be delivered "on time" unless additional measures are taken? Teacher of the Year and WRSPA Scholarship winners will be our guest speakers on February 24th @ 11:30 am at the Moose Lodge. New members are FREE. Mail check to Ellen Benjamin 6148 Hunters Mill Dr. Salisbury MD 21801. For returning members the luncheon is $15. Make your check to WRSPA. Deadline for rsvp is February 13th.

We are collecting warm winter clothes at the luncheon for our community. Hats, gloves, coats and blankets are needed.

Wicomico Retired School Personnel Association rang the bell for the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign at Boscov. Pictured are volunteers- Bob Conner Jr., Ocean City and WRSPA member, Joyce Roberts, Salisbury. WRSPA was awarded 3rd Place in the 2024 Top Civic Award for The Lower Eastern Shore Salvation Army. Last year the group rang the bell a total of 17 hours.

MRSPA! Our MRSPA Foundation Scholarship Application opens today! We want to remind you all to mention our scholarship to anyone you know who currently works in a Maryland public school that is pursuing additional education or certification! Application period is January 2 through January 23, 2026. Scholarships can be used in the Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 semesters. Good luck!

It is time to volunteer for the Junior Achievement Inspire event at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center on March 11 and 12, 2026.
