Just Zoo It

Lots of fun surprising all the winners in all four counties this year. Congratulations to all the winners, and to everyone for participating. Together, you helped us raised more than $28,000 in nickels, dimes and quarters for the Delmarva Zoological Society!

Tune in to WMDT Channel 47 at Noon for an update on Just Zoo It! TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT!! We hope there will be lots of students out there collecting coins for the Delmarva Zoological Society.

Our Just Zoo It! bear started out today at Westside Intermediate and ended the day at Northwestern Elementary. Thanks to Westside Principal Chris Nunzio and Northwestern Principal Kirby Bryson for your support of the Delmarva Zoological Society and the Zoo!

Great morning at Fruitland Primary School! Principal Dave Harris thank you for all you do for those students. We enjoyed every minute. Gave out lots of bear hugs and high fives and even hung out with the lunch ladies who were serving up breakfast. Their morning announcements are the best and we appreciate the plug to Just Zoo It!

We stopped by Prince Street Elementary School this morning to hand out free bear hugs and high fives on their way into class. And even got a quick health checkup from the school nurse! Thanks to Principal Jason Miller for allowing us to drop by!

All the cans should be arriving at schools this week! We've been out visiting schools and talking with students who are excited to Just Zoo It! this year. Are you ready for kids with Just Zoo It cans at Halloween?

'Just Zoo It' Winners Spend Day at Salisbury Zoo Feeding Pelicans, Meeting Zookeepers - DelmarvaLife

What a perfect day for our winning classes at the Salisbury Zoo! We hosted two today - Ms. Wagner's 3rd grade class from Warwick Elementary and our Grand Prize Winner Ms. Krisulvicz"s 5th grade class from the Salisbury School. Due to the fact that our baby Andean Bear is getting ready to leave us in the next day or so, we couldn't bring them inside the bear exhibit today but they did get to come inside the Alpaca exhibit and feed the pelicans! We hope to bring Ms. K's class back very soon though for their trip inside the bear exhibit! Thanks for helping us Just Zoo It!

Congratulations to Ms. Valerie Oliphant's 1st grade class at Willards Elementary who was randomly selected to win a VIP trip to the Salisbury Zoo this spring just for participating in Just Zoo It this year!!! Our prize patrol surprised them this morning with confetti and cupcakes. See you at the Zoo!

Congratulations to the Beary Best Day Care in Berlin, Maryland for raising more money than any other private school in Worcester County for Just Zoo It! So, so cute as we showered them with confetti and surprised them yesterday afternoon. Way to go! See you at the Zoo in June :)

Another day, another surprise for two classes on the Lower Shore! Congratulations to Becky Pratte's 3rd grade class from Deal Island Elementary for raising more money than any other class in Somerset County, and to Mr. Young's 3rd grade class from Pocomoke Elementary School. His class raised more money than any other class in Worcester County. We'll see you at the Salisbury Zoo this spring for your VIP trips!
