The NC Green Schools Program has been rebranded as the EnviroSmart Schools Program. We will continue to recognize PreK-12 schools that achieve levels of Commitment, Achievement, and Excellence in Sustainability through active participation, applied research, and innovation.

It’s Sustainable Thursday!
Reduce your energy use!! While your rooms, classrooms and hallways should be well-lit, there are ways that you can reduce your energy use. One of the best and easiest ways is by turning off all computers before leaving for the day, rather than setting them to sleep mode!!

Demonstrate that being green matters. Set the standard in your school and encourage your students to go green at home and in the community!

Are you interested in teaching about the science behind the science? This session will be a demonstration for an activity you can use in your classroom. Hosted by The NC Climate Education Network, a group committed to providing programs and resources for educators and science communicators throughout NC.
