Our negotiations team started this week on Monday Negotiating with the district and immediately flew or drove to LA and along with Oscar are hard at work at the CTA Conference learning about Essential Bargaining and Finance topics! We’re starting our year off strong and can’t wait to continue to work on negotiating our successor agreement with the district this year! Oscar will be presenting at the conference and we couldn’t be prouder!! He’s such an amazing leader and we are so lucky to have him!!!

We Won Paid Pregnancy Leave!

Starting January 1, 2027, California's school staff will have up to 14 weeks of PAID pregnancy disability leave. We fought hard for this and we did it together. Every one of us who shared our story, gathered signatures or showed up at the Capitol to fight for this leave made this happen. This legislation will transform the lives of California families for generations and we won it together.
