The Artemis II Mission (that will send 4 humans on a 10-day trajectory around the Moon and back to Earth) will be attempting to launch again tomorrow (April 1st) from Cape Canaveral Florida. If everything goes to plan, the launch time is set for 3:24pm West coast time. They will start broadcasting LIVE on NASA TV at 9:50am West Coast time.

Video I took during totality. I was trying to see if it would peak through the clouds, but just my luck, after I stopped filming to enjoy it, we spotted the Sun fully covered by the Moon with just the very thin light around it through the clouds. But you can hear the excitement in the crowd as it turned dark as night during totality. The lights actually turned on about 10 minutes before totality.

There were heavy clouds but we got to glimpse a few seconds of totality through the clouds, and it got really dark and cold! The Niagara Symphony played the theme from Star Wars. We were able to capture some pictures between the clouds, but not of totality as we ended the video just before it could be seen.
The day before and 1.5 hours after the eclipse ended, it was perfectly clear🤦‍♀️. But it was exciting to be there. Overall, amazing experience!!

Don't miss the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8th! Approximately 48% of the Sun will be covered during the maximum eclipse. In order to view it safely, you must wear solar eclipse glasses or use projection methods at all times. If you would like to pick up free solar eclipse glasses, please send the club a private message. We will have them available for you to pick up from the Hartnell College main campus.
