COVID is on everyone’s mind in one way or another, particularly during this holiday season. So, with that in mind, and being attuned to the safety and health of my participants and our audiences, The Ginormous Instrument Christmas Tour is canceled this year.

The Club connects bass players across the Mid-West for camps, master classes, tutorial instructions
Purpose of the Club is to promote the bass as a wonderful solo and ensemble instrument, encourage young students wanting to transition from another instrument and assist school music teachers by providing additional outlets for bassists to perform and develop their skills. Bassists, it’s time. ISB Convention is next week In Bloomington, IN—University of Indiana. Going for the first time? Good for you. There’s plenty to see and do. Get inspired by the bass love. Going for another? Catch up on what’s new, talk face-to-face with bassists with the same questions and issues. Watch some of the premier players and teachers demonstrate what they have learned that might move you forward. Good food, concerts, late night hangs. What’s not to love about this iteration of the ISB 2019 Convention.

Club on tour Sat., Dec. 8th.
Presbyterian Manor at 10:00 a.m., Arbor Court at 11:00 a.m. and Eaglecrest at 1:15 p.m. Performances feature 8 basses from the Salina Symphony and Youth Symphonies.

The 12th year Club edition is connected with the Kansas Wesleyan University Strings camp. Our camp-ending concert is Sat. June 2nd at The Eisenhower Presidential Library in Abilene, KS at 5:30. A very good group of campers (cellists and bassists) are ready to show their stuff. Come see the end results of hard work mixed with fun.
