If you ask the grown-ups from my childhood, they’ll tell you I spoke to animals first 🐦‍⬛I don’t know what it was, but I just had this innate capacity to truly see them—and to be seen by them in return.

Today, I had to say goodbye to one of my soulmates, Dante. He came into my life at the end of 2012, right during what was the hardest year of my life.

Back then, he was just a little puppy with the cutest cowlick on his back, the sweetest green eyes, and the stinkiest farts 😆

He would spin in circles out of pure joy and somehow find a way to befriend even the grumpiest animals AND PEOPLE 🙌🏾 He wasn’t just my soulmate🥺he was a hero to so many others, too, saving lives as a blood donor.

Today, he rests easy on a pillow of flowers 🌺 knowing he is loved until the end of time.

It’s so hard to say goodbye, Dante, but I know I’ll see you on the other side🌈

🖤🇻🇪VENEZUELANS keep rising🇻🇪🖤

It’s been a month since the devastating twin earthquakes hit Venezuela.

Death toll is still incredibly low with an official number at 5,278 victims but there are no systems to count missing people and the necessary infrastructure to start over.

Official response is more concerned with keeping oil supplies than helping families retrieve the dead from the rubble.

Just a couple of days ago, the rumor of a miracle spread like wildfire and the ones to hold our hand back into reality were the Argentinian and Mexican moles that are holding the ground.

The suffering of our people is deep and those that haven’t dug their family members out cannot even begin to think about grief.

I want to urge you to think about the resilience and love we hold in our hearts and donate to the following organizations and people that are making everything possible:

* – Directing aid to on the ground for emergency response from New England
* .MX – leading on the ground rescue. Every life pulled out of the rubble is because of their expertise, leadership and heart
* Gabriel Chacon– Supporting first responders / basic necessities. Aid collection! Zelle on his stories
* World Central Kitchen – feeding everyone on the ground
* Alexandra Caraballo Arriarán– running the “Fabrica de Antojos” (Cravings Factory) that bring dignity to all of those displaced

♥️🇻🇪Where government failed, ordinary HEROES united 🇻🇪♥️

My country, Venezuela, is going through one of its darkest chapters after the recent devastating earthquakes that took place on June. Death toll is slowly rising, but we know numbers are close to 100,00 lives lost.

But amidst the lack of official response, the true spirit of Venezuelans has shined brighter than ever. Neighbors are saving neighbors. We have all taken a job because no one is coming to save us.

Your solidarity is more important than ever! Share, comment, donate to keep the story rolling as help has decreased exponentially.

🚨🇻🇪VENEZUELA STILL NEEDS YOU🇻🇪🚨

To the 7 million Venezuelans in the diaspora, distance has acquired a new more cruel way of magnifying helplessness.

Watching the news for the last 12 days as they pull people out of the rubble dead and alive because of the earthquakes leaves a weight over our chests that is so difficult to articulate.

So we get hands on and highlight the work of the nonprofits that are doing the work no government body has the balls to do on the ground. Please, I urge you to share or donate to keep the algorithm engaged

🚨 VENEZUELA NEEDS US RIGHT NOW 🚨

If you don’t know, I am Venezuelan, and my heart has been shattered over and over seeing the devastation caused by the earthquakes on June 24th.

Right now, both local and international rescue teams are working tirelessly on the ground to save lives, but they are rapidly running out of critical supplies. The situation is urgent for both people and animals who have lost everything, especially because there is so much we don’t know yet

Cheryl Strayed says that the place of healing is one of glimmering dark. In that place time stretches and collapses on itself with a sharp wave of emptiness as I realize I lost count on the years.

It’s 2026, not 2024. He died in 2012. It’s 14 years, not 12.

Healing is certainly a place of glimmering dark packed with the sparkles of his joy and devotion…

Every year I choose a word to ground myself as I embark on a new adventure, my word for 2024 was unburdened…

I didn’t expect that the act of unburdening would be so difficult and I feel like I am living behind a year where I didn’t master my intention.

2024 was a year where as I settled in my new home, my idealizations of this place met reality which has given me the opportunity to intentionally examine where I am going.

2025 will be a year to humbly learn. I am a little anxious and restless but I am confident in my goals and the love…

After all, where I am is where I dreamed to be not so long ago and I’m so grateful for everything I have and we are 🫶🏾

To my girls and my love ♥️ I love you so so much…

Here we go!

My eclipse season has been all about a shift that I will be making soon and everything that comes with it.

Like putting myself in the very vulnerable position of aiming for my dream job after a brutal partnership that made me hyper-aware of barriers within interpersonal relationships… and failing, so far…

Which led to an uplifting conversation with my partner, my wonderful and taciturn Capricorn that reminded me that even in failure I am accomplishing things that are AMAZING which can only mean that my opportunity is around the corner.

Today looks funky to us, it’s not a regular Mother’s Day… We are working really hard to manifest that shift I was talking about at the beginning…

And let me tell you one last thing, those big feelings that have been showing up in a variety of shapes and forms, are telling me important things about stories that I have internalized and I need to let go…
