Exciting news to share from 2025 National Workforce Program of the Year recipient, Team Oregon Build!

June 22-26, 2026, get ready for Camp Ready2Respond - a fully immersive, overnight summer camp experience for high school students interested in construction, manufacturing, emergency management, public information communications, and culinary arts!

Students will spend the week at the Knife River Training Center in Albany, Oregon alongside educators, community leaders, and industry experts in a simulated disaster scenario experiencing what it is like to survive and rebuild, while boosting resumes with industry recognized certifications and credentials. Not only will students develop skills to become part of their community's volunteer disaster response network, but the sheds and shelters they build during camp will be placed into rural communities ahead of disaster ready to be used for storage and temporary housing for those affected by disaster or houselessness.

The application period is now open for educators and career counselors across Oregon that are interested in bringing students from their region to participate. We are also seeking donations to support the camp experience and create home disaster resilience kits for participating students, including personal protective equipment and boots, MREs, LifeStraws, 5-gallon buckets, backpacks, etc.

To apply or if you feel called to donate, please contact our planning team through our camp website at https://ccloregon.org/partners-ready2respond/

Together, we will be Ready2Respond!
