Eric Zeissig and I tried to get ChatGPT to change the model of JRC from using contingent electric skin shock on disabled people and instead use it on people convicted of domestic violence.

AI wouldn’t even consider it, saying that shocking people without their consent was illegal, unethical, and not something it would do.

It’s weird that AI is more ethical than some BCBA’s.

A lot of apologists out there saying things like:
“we only do good ABA”
“there’s only ONE place that shocks people, stop bringing us all down”
“well, our clients approve”
“Not all BCBAs…”
“I’ve never been around anyone who does this”
“There’s no bad ABA, just bad actors.”
or anything similar to the above, you are just as much a part of the problem.

This is still happening today. And no article, LinkedIn post, or blog touting how great and powerful they are implementing behavior analytic principles makes that go away.
