Life's traumas got you down? Becoming Project is a healing psychology cooperative easing unnecessary This Becoming Project journey was born out of pain.
I was failing in one of my most important relationships and couldn't figure out why. As I dug through the art and science to better understand my pain and shared these psychological insights here, I "cured" my low-grade, lingering ("not good enough") anxiety, accepted my flawed self more completely, recognized the narcissistic bubble I was caught in, and pulled down the veil on a societal culture

💗🩵 Have you experienced countering? This tactic leaves you exhausted and drained on a daily basis so that you’re less able to fight back against ongoing abuse and manipulation, and unable to trust yourself. When you are conditioned by frequent countering in an abusive relationship, you feel unable to express yourself. You are silenced, made to feel like you have to walk on eggshells just to have a right to exist, react, and respond genuinely to the world around you without the narcissist nitpicking and hypercriticizing your perspectives.

I want to take a gentle moment and talk about emotions.
Emotions help us read the world around us and when life gets difficult they don’t disappear just because we’re good at coping. They don’t vanish because we’re logical, spiritual, productive, or “fine.” Emotions are a part of us.
In Root-Cause Therapy, I see this again and again:
👉 Felt emotions that are allowed, moved, and completed become wisdom.
👉 Emotions that were never safe to feel don’t go away — they turn into patterns.
Patterns in relationships.
Patterns in self-sabotage.
Patterns in anxiety, shutdown, people-pleasing, control, or numbness.
The body remembers what the mind learned to survive.
When an emotion couldn’t be expressed at the time — because it wasn’t safe, welcomed, or understood — it gets stored as sensation, belief, and behavior.
Not to punish you.
But to protect you.
Healing isn’t about “letting it all out” or reliving the past.
It’s about meeting what’s still unfinished in the body, with safety and support, so it can finally complete.
When that happens, something shifts:
• the charge dissolves
• the pattern loosens
• the wisdom remains
This is what embodied healing looks like.
Not fixing yourself — but finishing what was interrupted.
And that’s where freedom actually begins.
