Today’s ✨SCHOOL SUPPLY BOOTCAMP✨ was all about paint! These little campers learned how to properly use and care for paint supplies AND about mixing colors to make new ones 🎨 This is always such a fun week!

Day 3 of ✨SCHOOL SUPPLY BOOTCAMP✨ was all about scissors! These littles had SO much fun learning all about scissor safety and cutting skills with the story, Scissors on Strike!

✂️Before we start cutting, we practice:
•How to hold scissors correctly
•Keeping our eyes on our work
•Using our helper hand to hold the paper
•Cutting along lines and following directions
•And, of course, safe scissor habits!

Then it was time to put those skills to work! Cutting is such an important fine-motor skill for preschoolers!

Day 2 of ✨School Supply Boot Camp✨ was all about GLUE!
Twisting the cap open and close…
using our hand strength to squeeze the bottle…
and of course, JUST A DOT, NOT A LOT! Or as they say in the story, Too Much Glue… “raindrops, not puddles!”

✨ Supply Boot Camp: Day 1! ✨ We kicked off our first day of School Supply Boot Camp talking all about CRAYONS!

We read The Day the Crayons Quit then practiced taking care and using crayons like classroom pros!

Next up… GLUE!
