Celebrating the 4th by exploring new places in this magical state with my excellent adventure buddy😃 First stop was the Farmers Market, then we drove to a recommended hike to see the wild flowers. It was a beautiful drive mostly off-road, and up a mountain where the views were incredible. The deer, the Beargrass (I’ve never seen it so full!) and the Indian Paintbrush (so vibrant!) welcomed us in. We had no service and realized that no one knew where we were. The satellite option was available, so Wendy messaged her daughter, who was 5 hours away, so someone would know our last known whereabouts, 🧐 Responsibility kicked in, lol. When we got to the trail head, it was much more remote than we were prepared for, we listened to our intuition and decided not to do the hike. We left an offering to the land with gratitude for the beauty and for the lesson. We will come back and be more prepared next time to explore the Lookout, now we know 😊 Next stop was Painted Rocks State Park, just wow. I am constantly amazed and in awe of the beauty here, it truly is a Treasure State. Just incredible. For our final stop, we found a quiet spot on the river and cooled off in the water. It was cold and wild, and incredibly peaceful. Sitting in silence, feeling the sun and the water moving around you, watching the trees and wondering if a bear or moose might appear in the clearing on the other side…a perfect day…grateful for it all. Follow your Joy and look for blessings, theyre everywhere. ❤️☀️🙏🌳
