2013…76 years old…multiple spinal surgeries… She put up her best time ever!
She did that After the doctors said she would never do a triathlon again. That was their “expert” opinion. A closed and limited perspective and belief (in my opinion).
But my mom, she had a different belief.
She was determined to heal, train, and compete. And that’s exactly what she did. She never entertained any other outcome.
We get to choose! Choice is one of our greatest powers.
We don’t have to give our power away to what others believe, no matter who they are. They dont get to write your story unless you give them permission and the power to do so.
Don’t let anyone tell you whats possible for you!
What no one teaches us in school or in society is that we are powerful. Our thoughts and words are literally our wands.
Keep your power. Pay attention to what youre focusing on, and change your thoughts amd words as often as needed.
It’s not too late to change course and live your dreams.

Rails to Trails 🚂 ⛰️🚴🌲
Unforgettable day riding the Hiawatha Mountain Bike Trail. We rode 15 miles through the most amazing scenery, it was an incredible experience! You start the trail going through a 1.6 mile tunnel, headlamps required, it was muddy, damp, and cold, and so amazing! We rode through a total of 10 tunnels, and over 7 trestles. We saw deer and chipmunks. And soaked in every moment, wishing we could bottle the smell of the trees and the damp mountain air. The views were breathtaking.
It was a bucket list day.
I’m living life with a little more urgency these days. We never know what the day will bring, and tomorrow is not guaranteed, not for anyone. Appreciating every moment and saying yes to new experiences. Life is Now!

That moment you see your book on the shelf in the local bookstore… Excited, Emotional, Grateful! Mom is smiling down with love and joy💫🙏💖 I promised to keep her light on for us all and now it’s shining all over the world🌟
She was a warrior, once she decided she was not a victim and realized she always had a choice, she chose the path with heart, she chose her thoughts, and she created experiences the “experts” said were impossible.
Take away: You are a Powerful Creator. Your thoughts create your reality.

Two years ago the library brought me in to teach one of the most powerful teen classes on empowerment that exists today. This class is based on the famous course taught at Stanford University’s MBA program on personal power and creativity for dealing with life and it’s challenenges.
These teens showed up all summer, every Monday night, not because they had to, but because they WANTED to! They couldn’t wait to see what new wisdom and perspectives each class would bring. They learned to love and trust themselves. They became confident and courageous. I STILL receive messages thanking me for this course 🙏❤️🦋
