New can be scary. Remind yourself that walking was scary once, too, and look at you now!

Needed this 🌿

How do you help your gifted children find each other? Gifted children may shut down emotionally and try to "mask" themselves if not given the opportunity to be around similar children. This is a coping mechanism to "fit in", but can result in poor self concept and even loss of talents and abilities as children age.

I know there are a ton of subject-matter and academic options during the summertime for kids. These are great choices! But is your gifted child going to have the opportunity to be with *other* gifted kiddos?

How about a summer camp just for gifted kids?
Why not give them a chance to be kids with kids like them?

Our two-week, full-day camp, hosted at Shorecrest Preparatory School, runs from June 27 - July 8. Designed by a certified gifted teacher with decades of experience (and a quirky personality 😜), our camp meets the National Association for Gifted Children's programming standards often neglected during the school year, the camp includes service projects, STEM challenges, field trips, leadership, creativity and collaboration development, and best of all...it's FUN and just for your gifted kiddos in rising grades 5-8.

Check it out and register at https://www.shorecrest.org/student-life/summer-programs.

Spots are VERY limited!

This morning, my youngest gifted kid...
Wore clothes inside out
Asked why we need breakfast...and to brush our hair...and protein...and school...
Waxed philosophical about dogs and intelligence
Cried about socks

This is all before 8 am.

Sound familiar?

Gifted kids have different brains. They have different needs.

Tune in to our webinar to learn some of the why, and get some concrete tips about how to handle these things for the best possible supportive environment for the gifted kids in your life.

Talk time!

Love and support a gifted child and wish you could learn more than the basics? Need a doctor and a teacher? We got you (honestly, Matt Zakreski, PsyD, is amazing, and I know you'll enjoy hearing from him!).

Parents and teachers who love and support gifted children often receive repetitive, basic, and under (or over!)whelming information when seeking to support these unique learners.

Come and chat with us! We are on board to spend the evening with you, discussing the brain science of gifted children, as well as their unique propensities, intensities, strengths, and nuances.

Sandy Bean, Former Middle School Teacher and Founder of The Bean Center for Gifted Students “Science is like playing! It’s hands-on and fun. It has the capacity to explore places you’ve never been, help or heal and lose yourself in the process. My very first mock lesson in teaching school was about states of matter. I used chocolate as my medium,” laughs Sandy. Learn more about San...
