I kept showing up to things that didn't feel like me. So I built something different. Book clubs, plant bingo, dinners, bus tours. Real tables for real women.

you keep everyone else's plants alive and forget to water your own social life. this one is for you. plant bingo, la doña, august 26. comment BINGO

The hardest part is deciding to go by yourself. Everything after that is easy.

Plant Bingo by Citrus & Co. We call plants instead of numbers. You play, you talk, you win, you leave with plants and usually a new number in your phone. Nobody performs. You never needed to have brought a person.

Wednesday, Aug 26. 7pm. La Doña. Fifty dollars. Open to everyone.

Nobody sat us down and told us this part.
That the friendships would get harder to find. That the girls’ trips wouldn’t just appear. That you could be in a full room and still be scanning it for the one person who feels like home.
The world our parents were prepping us for? It doesn’t exist anymore. We got handed a map for a place that’s gone.
If you’ve felt that — wanting the relationships before you have them — you’re not behind. You’re just awake to it.
Send this to the friend you’d start completely over with. 🍊

You are the woman who slows down in the vintage store.

And does not apologize for it.

You read the bottom of the plate. You hold the thing up to the light. You wonder who had it before you. And the whole time, the people you came with are already standing by the door.

So come with us instead.

At The Dig, nobody rushes you. You do not drive. Someone hands you a drink. And every single woman in the room touches every teacup too.

Bring the friend who gets it. Or come alone and find her here.

You are going to think The Dig is about the stuff.

It is not about the stuff.

Yes, we go treasure hunting. Antiques. Vintage. The good consignment nobody tells you about. You do not drive to a single stop. Someone hands you a drink at every one.

But here is the thing about digging.

You start out looking for a lamp, or a chair with a story.

And somewhere between the third stop and the fourth, you look up..... and you are laughing with a woman you did not know this morning.

You came alone. You dug through their history. You left with your people.

The stuff was never the point. It was the excuse. Come find yours.

You do not need to bring a friend.

You need to be in the room where they already are.

I built an entire day around the thing people used to rush me out of.

The vintage store.

I am the woman who turns the bowl over to read the bottom. Who touches every teacup. Who reads the tag on the coat like it is a letter. For years I did that alone, somebody always waiting by the door, somebody always tapping a foot.

So I stopped apologizing for it. And then I built a room for it.

The Dig is a whole day of slowing down. You do not drive. Someone hands you a drink. You go stop to stop and you dig through somebody else's history until you find the thing that is yours.

Here is what nobody tells you. You come to dig through the stuff. You leave having found your people.

Saturday, August 8. Come dig with us.

I'll be honest. I built these rooms because I needed them.

I was the woman who moved somewhere new and couldn't figure out how to make a friend as a grown adult. The one who canceled plans because walking in alone felt like too much.

So I stopped waiting for the room and started building it. Then you filled it.

Thank you for getting on the bus. For saving each other seats. For proving the whole thing right: you walk in alone and you leave with PEOPLE.

And we are just getting started..... The Dig, a full day of vintage and thrift treasure hunting. Plant Bingo, five rounds with real plants on the line. Regional retreats. And soon, somewhere with a passport.

If you've been watching and wondering if it's for you..... it's for you. Link in bio.

📸 + , thank you for making us look like the feeling actually feels.

When I was a kid, making a friend took about eleven seconds. You walked up to somebody and said "wanna play." That was the whole system.

Then we got grown. Jobs, kids, a whole list of people we could text but don't. And somewhere in there we got so good at being busy we forgot the eleven seconds ever existed.

So now we sit in the parking lot outside the thing. Hands on the wheel. Deciding whether we're actually going to walk in alone.

Here's what I figured out. Nothing about you got broken. You just haven't been in a room built for it.

That's the whole reason I build these. The room does the work so you don't have to. You don't have to be brave. You don't have to be charming. You just have to WALK IN.

Come alone. Everybody does. That's the point.

People ask me all the time what numbers matter most.

Followers are nice.

Ticket sales matter.

But they are not the number I think about when I get home after an event.

The number I care about most is how many women come back.

Because anyone can buy a ticket once.

Curiosity gets someone through the door.

Coming back means something happened in the room.

Maybe she found someone who gets her.

Maybe she laughed harder than she has in months.

Maybe she realized she didn’t have to explain herself.

Maybe she walked in alone and left with plans for coffee next week.

That’s what I’m building.

Not events.

Rooms worth returning to.

If you have ever come back to a Citrus & Co. event, thank you. Every time you return, you’re reminding me that this work is about so much more than filling seats.

It’s about building a place that feels like coming home.
