We Need Your Help…Now!
To
Build…Lives…Futures…of
Safety, healing and growth for Black and BIPOC youth from the Rondo community….We will do this by rebuilding and replacing the outdated, unsafe Jimmy Lee Recreation Center with a new” One-Stop” safe, healing-centered Jimmy Lee Recreation Center 2.0 by 2026. This center will be open year round, evening and weekends giving Black and BIPOC youth and community members from Rondo the tools needed to stay on pathways to healthy, stable futures of opportunity.
What?
We have raised $4.3 million ($1.5 million from private donors and $2.8 million from the city).
We need $10 million to rebuild. – Soon legislators will vote on whether to invest $5.7 million in our Rondo youth and the community
Now is the time to reach out to Rondo legislators, Senator Sandy Pappas and Representative Samakab Hussein – scan in the QR code to get a copy of a letter to email to Senator Pappas and Representative Hussein. Both of these legislatures are very supportive, but they need to hear from you to tell their colleagues how much the community is behind this request --
