We had a great week in Columbus, OH for Firehouse Expo 2022. Two days of hands-on and several lectures. Thank you to Peter Matthews and the Firehouse team for the opportunity. A huge thanks to Elkhart Brass for their never ending support.

Last week we had the opportunity to work with members of the Hutchinson (KS) Fire Department covering rural and municipal water supplies. The final evolution involved three engines, maximizing two hydrants, a 400’ dual 5” relay, dual pumping, and a total flow of roughly 4,328 GPM.

We had the opportunity to assist the Oakdale MN Fire Department dialing in the pressures/flows of their new Elkhart Brass smooth bore nozzles. Once the pressures were set via pitot, members practiced nozzle handling, water mapping, line advancement, and hydraulic ventilation techniques.
