Join us Sunday, Sept. 27, from 10am to 3pm for Deaf Day at Minnesota Children’s Museum! Staff and students from Metro Deaf School will lead activities throughout the museum in American Sign Language. Learn basic ASL signs, create a bookmark with your name in sign language, participate in story time and experiment with Squishy Circuits. ASL interpreters will also be available throughout the museum.

The museum will be closed Monday, Sept. 14 through Friday, Sept. 18 for routine maintenance and deep cleaning of the building and exhibits. Normal museum hours will resume on Saturday, Sept. 19.

6-year-old Avi and his family came into The Studio to build a cardboard airport, turning a one-day project into a week-long daily tradition. Though his mom shared that he’s normally quite shy, watching him step up to answer visitors’ questions and eagerly teach us everything about planes was pure magic.

Watching Avi’s confidence soar as the airport grew reminded us exactly why we do what we do. Swipe through to see their incredible creations! ✈️📦✨
