DESCRIPTION
All members of Saint Paul Public Schools Parent Advisory Councils (PACs) are invited to join us for dinner and focus groups about the SPPS budget and community values. The district wants to know the Values of the Community, which will inform the district and school budgets, and how resources are allocated.

EVENT GOALS
Providing a basic understanding of budgets
Gathering a set of community values
Gathering feedback about how we can communicate effectively about budgets
Sharing how the feedback was used to influence decisions around the budget

THINGS TO KNOW
Focus groups will be conducted in the native language
Childcare and food provided to participants

Participating PACs: AIPAC, GSD PAC, HPAC, KPAC, LCD PAC, PAASAC, SEAC & S**C

There is NO HPAC meeting on SEPT 27.

Four school board seats are up for election this year. Help us elect a board that sees educators as partners, not problems.

2023 is a municipal elections year. Depending on where you live there could be school board, mayoral, city council races, and referenda.

Saint Paul will have school board and city council elections. City Council elections use rank choice voting, school board does not.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 7, 2023. No Excuses Absentee Voting (early voting) in Minnesota begins on Friday, September 22, 2023.
