Some candlemakers like laser thermometers for a quicker reading, but I have always gone with a stick thermometer. Using a stick thermometer in candle making ensures accurate, internal wax temperature readings. Unlike surface-reading laser thermometers, stick thermometers measure deep within the wax to make sure it’s the most accurate temp for binding the wax with the fragrance.
