We had a fun day celebrating Thanksgiving with Bingo, a clue hunt, turkey disguises, reading some fun Thanksgiving books, creating some silly turkey art, talking about all the things for which we're grateful, learning secret turkey recipes from our expert chefs, and enjoying a Thanksgiving meal together.
I hope all of you have a safe, fun, love-filled, and blessed Thanksgiving week. π€ππ§‘β€οΈ

Thank you to Sergeant Drew Scherber of the Wright County Sheriff's Department for visiting our preschool and teaching us about the ways they help protect us.
He read them a fun book, let them sit in his vehicle, and answered some hard-hitting questions. π They all loved having him join us. Thanks for your kindness in visiting us and for your service!

πβ€November 17-24 is Operation Christmas Child National Collection Week!!! πβ€
My cup runneth over! This is my favorite time of year...and it leads to Christmas, my favorite holiday. Our preschoolers and family packed these 85 shoeboxes with love and gifts for children in need around the world to help them experience Christ's love and our love for them. The children enjoyed stamping their handprints with a poem, sorting the items, and filling the boxes. It's a joy to watch them pack the shoeboxes with love and pray for each shoebox to travel safely to the child meant to receive it, that each child would feel our love and God's love for them, and that the items inside would bless them. This project teaches everyone who participates to love others and show kindness, compassion, and generosity.
You can learn more about it here: https://www.samaritanspurse.org/what-we-do/operation-christmas-child/
By donating $10 per box to cover the shipping costs, we can track their destination, and we've been marking them on the map since we started being able to track in 2014. We have become friends with people in Uganda, Kenya, and Nigeria through the boxes they've received from us. β€
If you want to help, there's still time to pack a box or several boxes.
I'm volunteering at the collection at NorthRidge Fellowship in Rogers on Wednesday and Sunday and would be happy to drop them off for you if it's more convenient to bring them to our home in St. Michael. Here are the drop-off locations: https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/drop-off-locations/
Here are some videos and info about Operation Christmas Child. If you only have a minute, the first video will give you an overview. I strongly recommend having a box of tissues handy.
This is a shortened version at 1 minute.

Thank you to all of our veterans who have selflessly served and sacrificed so much for our freedoms.
It's important to take the time to share your gratitude with our veterans. It means so much to them. You can also show your support for our veterans and active duty service members through many wonderful organizations. Homefront Hugs offers a variety of opportunities at www.HomefrontHugs.com. You can send packages and cards, volunteer, donate, and more. Our children have loved sending cards through Homefront Hugs for many years.
I pray that all of our veterans feel loved and appreciated every single day. Thanks for your service!

Three of our recent preschool graduates from were selected for a Character Strong Award for "Respect" at Albertville Primary this month! They have shown incredible respect, courtesy, love, and kindness in the years I've been blessed to be their preschool teacher, and I'm so proud of them. Way to go, kids! I love and miss you. Yes, I'm crying happy tears! π₯Ήππ
In September, Albertville Primary students and staff focused on the Character Strong trait of βRespectβ. The students learned that being a good listener helps us show Respect to other people and treat them with care. Students were challenged to think about how they can show respect to friends, family, and when at school. One student from each Kindergarten classroom was the recipient of this award. The students were presented with an STMA Character Strong bracelet, a certificate, and a treat coupon for Culvers. Congratulations!

We had so much fun celebrating Independence Day this week!
The kids have loved going on multiple duck hunts for red, white, and blue ducks. This fun activity boosts their number recognition, counting, patterning, and visual discrimination skills. All ages love the challenge of finding the ducks. πΊπ²β€οΈπ€ππ¦

Happy Independence Day!
We're blessed to live in a country where we still--despite the many threats to it every day--have more freedom than almost every other country in the world.
Have a blessed 4th of July; enjoy every minute of it!

Congratulations to our 7 awesome Class of 2038 preschool graduates who have brightened our days and grown in so many ways. We're going to miss them (I'm so thankful they'll be here for Summer Play Camp), but I know they'll shine their lights and make a difference wherever they go and whatever they do! β€οΈππππ
