The Professional Arts and Utah Tech University present the Alaskan Photography of UT Film's very own Tisa Marie Zito, filmmaker and DOCUTAH Program Coordinator. The opening is on 6.5.26 with 25% of proceeds going to the Pine Valley Fire Dept for restoration efforts after the large fire last summer. Visit with the bears, help trees and a place we all love! Show runs through Aug 14th. Come support your film professor! 🙂

Utah Tech University College of the Arts students get into all Desertscape films & panels for free (space permitting) with ID. Festival runs from 4/1 - 4/4 at the Electric Theater. This years lineup includes the Utah premiere of the new Lionsgate movie "Power Ballad" starring Paul Rudd. We also have the SXSW Best Documentary winner "The Ascent" & the World Premiere of "The Strawberry" from UTU alums The Plummer Bros Kyle Plummer & Carlos Plummer who will be at the screening along with co-star, the legendary Doug Jones ("Pan's Labyrinth" & "The Shape of Water.") Following this the St. George Art Free live outdoor concert by The Aquabats is a block away. Our opening feature, "If I Go Will They Miss Me," was a big award winner at Sundance. We have A Conversation with Jack Fessenden. focusing on an indie feature he's shooting in the STG. He's son of beloved indie filmmaker, Larry Fessenden ("Habit"). We'll also have a workshop called Rewriting the Indie Feature Playbook run by producer Stephen Mastrocola of Buffalo 8 Distribution & H. Nelson Tracey, the writer/director of "The Breakup Season."
