As we close another incredible school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate the many accomplishments, milestones, and beautiful moments shared throughout our VPK Program. 💙

This year has been filled with growth, learning, collaboration, and unwavering commitment to the children and families we serve. From supporting kindergarten readiness to strengthening family engagement and creating meaningful learning experiences, our team has continued to make a lasting impact in our community.

🌟 A very special congratulations to Melissa Jimenez for being recognized as one of Florida’s Top 6 Outstanding 21st Century Afterschool Professionals! Your passion, dedication, and commitment to students and families truly reflect the heart of afterschool programming. We are beyond proud of this well-deserved recognition! 👏🎉

💐 We also want to honor our amazing Data Entry Specialist, Luz Cruz, for celebrating 25 years of dedicated service with our District. Thank you for your years of commitment, support, and the countless ways you have helped families and our community throughout the years. Your work behind the scenes has made a tremendous difference.

As we wrap up the year, we are already hard at work preparing for all the exciting plans, opportunities, and goals for next school year. The future is bright, and we are grateful for every teacher, staff member, family, and community partner who continues to support our mission.

🌟 Step Up to Kindergarten – Getting Ready for Success!

Did you know? Children who practice a few basic skills before Kindergarten often feel more confident and ready to learn!

Here’s how you can help your child get ahead:
✅ Counting & Recognition: Count to 10 and recognize their name.
✅ Self-Care Skills: Use the bathroom independently, wash hands, dress themselves, and zip coats.
✅ Fine Motor Skills: Hold a pencil, use child-friendly scissors, open/close lunchboxes and backpacks.
✅ Organization: Write their name on notebooks, agendas, and school supplies.
✅ Practical Skills: Practice opening a milk carton and handling lunch items.

💡 Make it fun and low-stress: play “getting dressed races,” color together, or turn routines into games!
