Should church safety team members wear identifiers?

Examples include:

• Polo shirts
• Badges
• Lanyards
• Name tags
• Jackets
• Concealed with no identifiers at all

There are solid arguments on both sides.

Some believe identifiers improve communication, coordination, and reassure the congregation.

Others believe they make team members the first target during an attack.

Where do you stand?

A hidden cell phone was allegedly discovered recording inside a church restroom during a children's event.

We spend a lot of time preparing for active shooters, but incidents like this remind us that church safety is much broader than one threat.
