Arrived back in Tokyo last night and took in a movie at the Toho Godzilla theatre in shinjuku . And we celebrated Laurel’s birthday 🎂 .

Even in the rain, Kyoto is a magical place! We had our tea ceremony yesterday along with an exploration of Kodaiji Temple and the old town. On arrival in Kyoto we visited a Samaurai center for a show and demonstration. Enjoy just a few of the photos yet to come!

Everyone who was set to arrive in Japan has arrived. We have a tired bunch but we're looking forward to the adventure. Tomorrow morning we head to Okinawa!

Removing these monitoring buoys is a dangerous move since they provide important data on the oceans which create our weather. We will essentially be blindfolded and won't know what's happening until we feel the water lapping at our feet.
