School is back in session in St Johns County and we're almost ready for an End of Summer Book Sale!

Join your Friends Friday, August 25th from 10 until 5:45 and Saturday, August 26th from 10 until 4:45 at the Anastasia Island Library to stock up on a great selection of books, movies, and DVDs for the upcoming fall and winter months!

Want to help setup for the Book Sale in a COOL air conditioned space? Join us Saturday, August 19th for our book sale setup! You'll get to preview what will be available and maybe put a special book or two aside for sale day. *wink wink*

Today is the Day! Join your Friends of the Anastasia Island Library as we support our Friend, Nancy Haddock as she sits on a panel of four romance authors to discuss their writing and the sub-genre of romance books.

The four authors include Sandra Madden, Skye Taylor, Nancy Haddock, and Judith Luke. The discussion will include the types of romance they each write, how location plays a role, how characters are constructed, and some of their own favorite authors. Author Nancy Quatrano will moderate this event.

This program is free and open to the public and will take place at The Waterworks, 184 San Marco Ave., which shares a parking lot with the Main Library. Seating begins at 12:00 pm, and the presentation starts promptly at 1:00 pm. No reservations are required.
