Many of you might not know this but  and I have been attending Re|Engage -a marriage enrichment program- that has transformed our relationship. We started in the fall of 2022 and have never looked back. The tenacious transparency, modeled by the leadership has set the stage for vulnerability and growth in a way that is so rare in contemporary culture.

In the spring, Laura and I will be launching Re|Engage and we'd love to have you join! If your marriage is a 2 and you want to move it to a 3 or if it's a 7 and you're shooting for an 8. This is the place to do it. Type in your zip code at Marriagehelp.org for a location near you.

Tonight, yes tonight! The August studio sale is on from 5-8 pm. 24 Grove Ave.

Come visit and grab some refreshments while you shop for functional pottery and fine art.

Foot traffic preferred. Some parking on premises [driveway or side yard]. Do not park on-street as all the curbs are yellow and the City WILL ticket.

Uptown Saturday Night Open Studio and Sale this Saturday!

Just got done cleaning a bunch of work from the 5th firing of the this summer with .

Also, the grapes are ripe! Come by and pick up some pots and a handful of U-Pick muscadine grapes from our vines.

5-8 pm 7/29 at 24 Grove Ave. Foot traffic preferred. Please do NOT park on the street as all the curbs are yellow and the City WILL ticket. Parking is available in our driveway and side yard.

June 11th (my birthday) I'll be leading a firing workshop at Big Magic, the anagama of . Check his website for registration info. (I think there's a few spots left!!!).

When I sent Danny this image in 2017, he immediately began referring to it "the GQ kiln." The joke has come full circle now that
got her creative hands on the image!

This was the firing of Jar 010 for my thesis in the anagama and yes, the red piece over my shoulder is one of the Don Reitz "lost works" stewarded by .

Over the course of my thesis work I spent more than 60 days firing kilns all over the country including in China! I am so looking forward to working with the Spinning Earth Pottery crew to make a little magic with Big Magic!

🚨Let's start a conversation! 🚨

I recently signed up for the image generation product to test things out. The has come out with several publications about the use of artificial intelligence and image based submissions for AP credit at the high school level.

As the semester winds down, I am just now having time to explore it on my own. These 6 images are couplets. The first image is my physical work, and the 2nd quartet is the product of Dall E, creating variations based on my image I submitted.

Frankly, it is nice work, but it does not exist outside of the space machine in my pocket.

3-D artists are blessed with physical objects that are difficult to plagiarize. Let's start a conversation about AI images, [I am hesitant to call it artwork] because I wish I could come up with beautiful ideas this easily on my own...

Today is the last day for seniors and it's bittersweet every year but especially so this year.

I'm not sure if it's because of the covid shutdown but when the kids came back they were hungry for relationship, connection and community.

So proud of these kids! I teach this place setting project to my level 2 kids and they knocked it out of the park.

This is also my favorite project to evaluate. The most legitimate way to critique functional pottery is to see how well it functions... with a pot luck 😉 🍽
