It takes a village!!!! My uncle, Mark Parent, passed away last May and was expressive about children's needs for proper attire in the colder months. I have seen children go without items, such as snow pants, coats, hats, mittens and boots. So, I am going to do something! I am starting an organization called Mark's Kids. This is strictly run on donations of these items, I hope to be able to be the
contact person for teachers. Say you have an individual you know doesn't have boots, the teacher could than call me and ask for a specific size and I can go to donations, pull it out (if I have it) and get them to the school within a day or 2. I would like to start collecting to be ready for next winter with a good supply to offer teachers. I can pick up from anywhere or they can be dropped off to me. This is just in it's beginning stages, but I hope to make this a great success through community events and drop offs that continues for years to come. PLEASE SHARE!
