The Heritage High School Student Assembly is excited to announce that registration is now open for the Heritage High School 2026 Homecoming Parade. The parade theme of "Opening Night" encourages entries to get into the spirit of Broadway and ties into the overall theme of Homecoming 2026: "A New York State of Mind."
Businesses, nonprofits, organizations, clubs, and schools are encouraged to fill out a parade entry form, linked below. Entries are due by Friday, September 11.
The parade starts at 4:00 PM on Friday, September 25, 2026 by Sherwood Elementary School and makes its way down Shattuck Rd, turning on Center Rd, and ending at Heritage High School.

Congratulations to our Industrial Technology students who entered pieces in the Regional MITES (Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society) competition on May 2nd in Sanilac. All students qualified for State Competition in Waterford on May 7th.

Members of the Class of 2027 spent their Saturday morning volunteering at the Grit Your Grief 5K Color Run. The smiles and laughter from the runners are just two of the many reasons they Class of 2027 loves to volunteer in the community.

Students in Peer Counseling have been learning how to manage their stress. Recently, the focus was on the benefits of arts and crafts, like making friendship bracelets, in helping control and release stress. The smiles say it all!

Industrial Technology students Colton Johnson and Brennan Denay displayed their work at the home builders show at the Dow Diamond in Midland. People attending the home show had the opportunity to vote for what they thought was the best project on display. Colton and Brennan won the top 2 places. Both students won a prize of $250.

The Heritage Page Turners wrapped up another year of reading and passionate discussions. Look for information about next year's meetings in September and join the fun. This book club was made possible by the Saginaw Township Community Schools Foundation.
