All schools in the Earlimart School District will be closed beginning March 17 through April 13, 2020. The health and safety of our students and staff is a priority to us at this time, our decision to close the schools was made out of an abundance of caution to keep our students and staff safe during the Coronavirus outbreak.
ESD students will continue to learn during school closures. On Monday, March 16, students will receive independent study lessons to take home and complete while schools are closed.
ESD will continue to offer meals to our students during the closures, we are working on a schedule and a delivery method that follows “social distancing” recommendations. We will send a separate message announcing the beginning of the meal service.
We understand that many of you are concerned and may have questions, our school district staff will be available to provide information by phone or email during the school closures. We will share additional important information with you as we receive it.
Thank you,
Abigail Solis
President, ESD Board Of Trustees

I strongly denounce denounce the violence that took place today in Virginia. I am saddened and want to express my sympathy to those who were injured and extend condolences to the families of the three people killed. Those of us who oppose racism, bigotry, and hatred must come together to move beyond a society of mere tolerance and towards a society of true acceptance. Hatred is an emotion born of fear. Violence that is caused by hatred is not bravery. Bravery is accepting our neighbors for who they are. Let's be brave enough to continue to make change happen, and be inclusive. I believe we can.
